His name is Carlos Caetano, he is responsible for Lisbon Weekly Photo and we finally met up last Sunday. After a good few hours' conversation, we returned to where we had started - the Museo da Cidade (City Museum) and I took this photo as the night arrived. I had just missed a shot of an errant peacock returning home over the wall right behind where Carlos is standing, as this camera is just too slow.
So, conclusion? I can strongly recommend you meet up with your nearest co-blogger! Especially if they are as great as Carlos, whom I am delighted to know in person.
It seems that if I am to get back home out of the darkness I have been in, this is as good a way to start as any.

Now you're making me feel ashamed with your kind words. It was great to meet you too and I hope the darkness went away. As you now, it all started by "accident" but it's great to be part (even a small one) of this community.
I also ask you to pay a visit to another friend, Paul from hemingwaysparis.blogspot.com, not because he posted a picture I took in Paris but because it's a great blog and he's having a hard moment.
Hola Mile, gracias por tu aviso sobre spam en mi blog.
Recibe un cordial saludo
congratulations, new begin!
new layout of your blog. Very nice face your friend!
I'm glad you got to meet Carlos - I've yet to meet anybody from the blogosphere face to face, but hope to, someday. I like the photo, too - looks like you caught a moment.
Wow, great! Meeting in person sounds almost surreal after looking at the world through that person's eyes for a while; I'm glad you two met.
Jenny & Marjan, I can assure you, he is your friend too!
Meg, you're right! Thanks and I at least am looking forward to the next time!
Carlos, I'm going to Paul's next. And you are too modest!
Hola Antonio, todavia no cabiaste para el Word Verification? O quizas no sea posible? Vale la pena, seguramente!
