Luzboa

Lisbon's biennial festival of light (Luzboa = Good light).
3 central zones, marked by the colours of the street lamps, red, green & blue (this - obviously - is red). «Pic 1: Fernando Pessoa on an interior wall in Principe Real

«Light display reflected on café terrace tables, Principe Real.

It felt like walking through a vast, moving series of Edward Hopper paintings, mysterious, gloomy, vaguely menacing.

«My favourite, a side street off Rua da Escola Politécnica....Hopper.
There are events, shows, particpating restaurants and bars along the routes.

«Not a tea-room. Teatro = theatre.
A very strange photo-safari on a quiet Monday night, seeing familiar palces in a literally different night and discovering them anew. Posted by Picasa

I agree about your favorite - mysterious and lovely - but I wouldn't walk down there alone!

What a fantastic festival. Will you be shooting other colours, too? I hope so.

Great tones. I know see I shouldn't stop at Camões but continue up to Principe Real. I'll try to find out about Edward Hopper (that you had mentioned before).

Loved them all! Great memories for me, this time, since this is where I studied (Faculdade de Ciências - Rua da Escola Politécnica). Ages and ages ago, now that I think of it...

De noche y esas luces me hacen sentir el calor de la fiesta.

I'm still out here, yes indeed! Not nowhere.
Jenny, You'll Never Walk Alone.
Meg, you've now seen some green zone? I won't bother with blue - never a good colour for light bulbs, and not in streets. The only pics I shot, I didn't like - too cold.
Mlle P, atmosféra muy estraño; à la fois séduisante et ménaçante. Mais j'ai été toujours plus facilement séduit que ménaçé!!!(lol!)
Carlos, was great to speak at last! Shame I was prevented from making the rendez-vous zzzzzzzz..
Pequete e Mar, alguns dias incríveis en ce qui concerne les coincidences entre vous deux et moi! Pequete, your folhas remind me of my Sorbonne days. Then this post reminds you of yours. En attendant, Mar y yo, fotos de bailarinas 'fantasmitazadas'. All in this room of mine, where even stranger things with NO explanation have been happening over the same past few days right next to me and in front of me (behind this screen). What is it all coming to...?
Joan, seas muy bienvenido, de LX/VFX!
