One morning last September, Lisbon was privileged to have a grandstand view of the moon's total eclipse of the sun.
No to be missed, out we went at 8.30, armed with cameras, tripod, jackets for when the temperature zoomed down and those cute, free protector glasses. The choice was the boardwalk next to the Vasco da Gama Bridge (see yesterday's post), because of the vast openness of the river and sky just there.
This was Patti's first-ever eclipse and, spell-bound, she just sat and stared at it intently throughout, thus providing me with a bonus subject.

And here it is, one more of Nature's masterpieces!

yet again, your mastery with the camera and your eye have taken my breath away. the frontal shot of the patti could've come out of any magazine and the eclipse is very star trek, where no one has gone before.
fantastic - there is a strange, sci-fi movie quality to the portraits, and the eclipse itself is spectacular, of course! (and I'm not just saying that because I only say nice things on people's blogs!)
