Cat people?Only 3 of the 4 cats seen here may be found in Alfama.
And only 3 of them can be fed without risking losing an arm.
The Mother & Child were discovered when my curiosity took me up some steps. And there they were, taking a summer siesta.
The one in photo 4 I just like a lot. Got real character, this one. Being an Alfama cat, it just had to do a little dance for me as we met at eye-to-eye level.
And as for the big one in photo 3, well, it's about as close as I wanted to get without actually trying to share his mid-afternoon snack. Or become a part of it!

Amazing shot, the last one!!! Very very good, what a moment! The the ones of the casts sleeping up there... I can remember that day... a hot august day in which we walk from the Terreiro do trigo almost up to the castle and down again and ended in Parque das Nações shooting the mud and a guy catching bivalves... Very good day...
