What to Do With the Fallen Bougainvillea Blossoms

First, a messsage for Ana: I've checked and in fact, it IS there, sob a rúbrica, "turboleituras"!
Como que é, que eu posso ver esse comentário, mas você não?

******************************

I have grown to love flowers simply by living in this country.

Portugeses e Portuguesas, do you know just how
lucky you are, with this coastal climate that produces flora so similar to Central & Southern California?

When the new bouganivillea plant at home started showing that it wasn't so happy in its new home, (today a year ago again!) shedding its blossoms, I saw there was a way to preserve them, instead of just throwing them in the lixo. I gathered them up, added a few handfuls of clean, fallen jacarandá and something orange from the nearest square in the street and threw them on to the bed. Only till till it was time to sleep, naturally. But the effect was such an enhancement to the atmosphere.
This is one of the set I shot, a macro study of symbiotic textures. Only thing is, the red cover doesn't appear in its true colour - it's more burgundy, in fact. But I'm happy I did this, because it captures and permanises what would otherwise be just a sweet memory................ Posted by Picasa

Ah, don't you just love the smell of those purple flowers that hung from the walls onto the street at nightfall? Sometimes I even feel like crying of sheer bliss. As for your comment, you posted on a blog I rarely post on myself. Here's my very own personal blog, 100% non-confessional, that pays a tribute to all the books I've read throughout my life:

Oh, and as for the World Cup, as the original Swiss Tony would say, the World Cup is like making love to a beautiful woman: men are crazy about it, but it's not really my cup of tea. And don't get me started about bandeirinhas nas janelas.

I won't say "that's awsome, stewart!!!" in spite of being spectacular! I really have some nice shots with buganvilias and they create a nice scene color in any garden they appear. Cya.

Ana, oh a woman after my own heart, at last! Do you also like fine wines and Belgian chocolates? Not much to go on, I admit, but it's a start to a beautiful friendship! This is getting to be just like "Casablanca", isn't it? Will we always have Paris?
I too could not sell a used car if my 1980s double-breasted suit depended on it. No ornate bigode (though it's about time I posted a photo of someone who does have simply marvellous, professional upper-labial hair), no tri-corn bouffant hair-style, though I did have THAT suit in the mid-80s, 'cos I thought my professional status at the time might demand it. Got me on very friendly terms with the Bank Manager, if nothing else. But I can offer an ability to spout nonsense at the drop of a Neuhaus. Writing a blog is much the same as making love to a beautiful woman.......but then , what would YOU know about that? Or else, it's perfectly OK if you do! It wouldn't be all the same to the other Swiss T, in fact he'd probably be quite rouged by the idea....Of course, as you well know, the original ST believes entirely in men being men and women being giggling, empty-headed, knitting-mad, kitten-adoring sweet little things. That is where he & I first part company. Moreover, he has - as we ALL know - never made love to a beautiful woman.........

Oh, add cheese to that and we will have many a night of pleasant chatter, my friend.
