Peaceful
A cool response to a commemoration of war. Maybe 'peace' will be better received. I found these doves last Saturday. I wish you all a peaceful weekend.
Peace to you too my dear friend. Some British marines were captured today; I was very worried for one of our blogfriend's son. I wish this war would end...I wish all war would end. There is enough sadness and suffering in this world. Rx

I wonder Stewart if one of the effects of 4years of this horror is that of the voices in the wilderness despairing their words falling on deaf ears????
The doves and your last post marry well, The peaceful protest, however, whenever, always vocal..until the day it is finally heard and acknowledged by the powers that be, that war is not the answer and never will be.

I wonder if anyone else does this: when I see the comments - to mine, as well ass on the other blogs, I have a world map in my mind, always fixing where you all are. I happen to have a pretty sharp sense of geography that goes all the way back to learning to read and the great escape it gave me into the world beyond my "here & now". Still facinated by it. So, this medium, after all these decades of travelling, meeting, friend-making, is superb for me. Anyway, my point is about geo-groupings: I visualise Ame in a group with Photowannabe to the north, and Terry when she comes in, then GetZapped, a bit further north. Over to the East, there's Maui (who I know well isn't in Hawaii, but would wannabe, LOL), Stephen B, Nikon & Jenny almost neighbours!?). We zoom far south to pick up Analia in el Cono Sur, then cross the Atlantic. This has two home posses, the Brits with Ruth, Auds and strangely few others. My sister Carole occasionally. I'm real big in Britland, I don't think! But then, the falling out of love started early and was mutual, seeing as I was born useless as being English. Maybe it was down to being born in Jack-the-Ripper Hospital, Whitechapel London E1. That does make me a genuine Cockney, but a bigger deal there couldn't be, seriously. It ends there. France was my first "second home" and will eternally be special to me. So Cergie is a soul-mate of sorts. I see her home town very clearly. Here, the Portugal crowd ocuupies a unique stage in my mind's eye (Marjan, WELCOME BACK, by the way! Kussjes to you. Did I know I came into your blog on Friday, but no time to comment? Or coincidence?)I see all of their home towns & cities as if I knew them inside out: Carlos & Ana in Lisbon, Afotografia in Azeitão, Pequete far away up there in Bragança, Papalagui in Mafra. The Spanish, such as Mar, António, Manuel, Joán, are our Iberian nextdoor neighbours, so that's easy. But so are many other places, particularly Italy (though I don't know what town Fabrizio lives in) and most recently, Mandi's Tel Aviv. It's always the same, though, with those places I've never seen, like Ed's KL, or Australia & New Zealand, or China, or Taiwan. I was just thinking about this and wanted to share it. And the doves - they were posted intentionally, though it was pure chance that I found them last week. They are to symbolise the value of global fraternity and fraternisation. It beats knowing nothing and beating the living daylights out of each other, or walking about with a bomb strapped to your wasteband, eh? Thanks for all of your comments on my doves. Makes you gfo all lovey-dovey, doesn't it?
they have a borderless life, men created the borders. I love the pictures, I can almost hear them coo and flutter. Like your reflection upon blogging. For me it is new, since a month. It gives me pleasure to share with people all over the world. Have a nice day
Okay mr. flickery fingers... with typing but such skill with the camera :-D I lovelovelove the doves and their beautiful feathers in motion - white which is peace all over the world... this is one of your best pictures. And your sentiment as well. I love your imagery of geo groups... :-D Makes the world seem closer, smaller, friendlier.
