Here's a macro of the bowl, Jen. What can you see in it?
SEM AJUDA NENHUMA DOS ESPERTOS PORTUGUESES, POR FAVOR!
(I know Jenny can't actually post comments, but she will e-mail me and we'll find out what she has to say that way).
Actually, last Sunday was the first time I'd ever made it. It was delicious, although in the circumstances, I was the only person to taste it.

A note to Ruby Lynx: I am a total advocate & practitioner of no-rules in photography. I don't see the point in them. Like how do you get anywhere by obeying them.So I agree with you wholeheartedly. With one exception: the rule not to hurt anybody in what you do with your blog. Now, start hitting those keys again, girl!

How am I gonna lunch now Stewart since I'll probably have to choose between some bitoque or febras?
Jenny,
I can assure you no picture is comparable to how good it tastes. Besides, I'm Alentejano.
Carlos, the solution is easy & quick: make an excuse at work, come straight to my house and have some. There's just enough remaining for the two of us!
And Jenny, he's right about the picutre vs. the real thing!
Hmmm...what do I see in it? Tomatoes, of course, and cilantro..maybe cucumbers...not sure about the orange things, how about peaches. The white things, maybe some kind of seafood? Or bread - that makes more sense (not potato, surely!). Oil & vinegar, of course. There's something very dark red near the bottom that doesn't look like tomoato. Is it sauaage? I aam suffciently teased - do post the recipe!
Love Gazpacho! It looks really great :) I'll wait with excitement for you post your secret recipe...
nunca he probado el gazpacho... pero me gusta mucho preparar comidas para mi gente querida. es para mí una muestra de amor :)
Now you made me crave gaspacho. where's a poor pregnant woman like me going to find gaspacho in London? you horrible man ;-P
Antes de mais, JOANA! Eu não sabia! It was such a great surprise to read your "news" that I felt like booking a ticket & flying straight over to make a barrel-load of gazpacho - bringing the ingredients with me, of course!
But if Neorelix wants to try with the recipe when I post it, perhaps he could play host to the '3' of you in Cambridge. Seriously, my fingers are going to stay firmly crossed for you this time. It's the bestthing I have heard all week, perfectly timed.
Pilar, despues de ler-te, fui procurar aqui o livro de Isabel Allende "Afrodite - Histórias, Receitas e Outros Afrodisíacos"..e fiquei completemente desviado! Um livro lindo! Allá de gaspacho (pag. 260), descubri salada chilena (pouco surprendente!).
