Great photos, Stewart (as always) but - what's going on? I miss the daily update!

How absolutely beautiful. I love tiles. My dream is to one day start in Turkey and travel west to see the different tile works. Some day...

Jenny, it's severe burn-out. One sad consequences: aversion to the pc, withdrawal. Price of all this is fragility & vulnerability. I'll only update now when anything really significant happens. She has come a long way in a week, after nort giving her longer than days, they are now realising the possibility of going home.Won't be easy.

Meg, I got really excited with the tile-tourism idea! Wow! I sat for 15 minutes wondering how I'd route it. Start or finish in Morocco? Then Andalucia, then west. No, let's start in Turkey, as you said, because if you started in or near Portugal, I suspect that you would go no further, so dazzled would you be!

Nowhere Man, I'm serious, I'd really appreciate some pointers for a Tile Tour - it's been my dream for about 12 years, and I have a notebook (ok, it started before Internet was so great) of places that should be on the route, and so far it's been mostly Turkey and northern Italy. I've been afraid to venture into Portugal yet - after all, I've been researching for only a short time...
