This little house is very near where I live, in a different type of building altogether.
This afternoon, I came down one of the tiny streets of tiny houses on my way to a café in the square. As I turned the corner, I saw this washing hanging out to dry & had to take the pictures.
This house is as wide as the front door and the blue and white paint façade.
The washing somehow suggested a house with a huge heart. Please click on the picture and look at this collection of clean cuddly toys. Priceless.
And then, hiding behind that sheet in pic 1, were these two!
These are some of the men living in little houses like the one above.
This is their social life, sitting in the shade of the late afternoon, waiting for their next drink from the tiny, primitive tavern that's off-camera on the right.
And here is another tiny house, less loved, less proud than the first one.

Hmm, can't be sure because if my daughter see this she wants to do the same to our dogs and younger cousins!Anyway i love all this pics, they are very famliar to me, my favourite is the pink donkey on first photo.
Has Jenny given you the big tips yet? Because of your lack of writing, the pictures fade into the template you use. Quick! Can't you just select Large for now?
what happened to these teddies? got wet at their picnic?
Right, Edwin! When you use blogger, or picasa, there is an option to pick a large picture, and to center it. If you are uploading multiple pictures, as you always do, go into the html (it's a tab at the top of the compose box) and put your text in between each picture. If you want, catchme on gmail chat and I can walk you through it real time. I do like these pictures!
PS and yes I am commenting at 5:25 am - trying to decide if I'm up for my trip to NYC today or not!
I love pic 2!
Les jouets sont mignons quand même
:)
I have seen such small and beautiful houses in Oporto. And such small and beautiful houses still exist in my country. They are more human and "warm" than modern flats I think!Excellent photos!
Geia sou, Tiverius!& you are welcome here!
Interesting to cpmpare Greece & Portugal. Perhaps the biggest differences are due to your location in the South East of Europe, with the influences of your neighbours in the Balkans and the Middle East not far away. Portugal is isolated in the South-West corner, with only Spain & the Atlantic for neighbours, but close to North Africa. So, intersting similarities & differences. I loved it the day Ellas won Euro 2004 & Lisbon was full of you wonderful Greeks! That whole 4th July really showed the differences & similarities between the 2 peoples!
But as you say, "Modern life is rubbish", well a lot of it!!! Kali mera!
Hi! Just arrived at your blog through a friend of a friend. Wasn't planning to leave a comment, but those two photos almost brought tears to my eyes. Thank you!
